Anraum consists of different kiln casted glass elements. Visually, they convey the impression of Styrofoam plates lying on one another. In their arrangement, they seem chaotic at first, but on closer examination they reveal their designed structure. This brings coincidence and intention into context. The material glass, in its heaviness and fragility, serves as a contrast to the cheap, light and protective Styrofoam. In addition, the cold and rugged atmosphere of “Anraum” reminds of Caspar David Friedrich’s “Eismeer”.
